I portrayed Salome by means of a bold, modernistic collage.

The portrait on JP 55’s magazine cover does not look like the real Salome, the queen we see on the newly discovered coin discussed in David Flusser’s JP article “A New Portrait of Salome.” But that is the point! The portrait represents the popular image of Salome—a real floozy!
