Stephen C. Carlson holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University (B.S. Comp. E., 1988) and the George Mason University School of Law (J.D., 1996), and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Duke University (Graduate Program in Religion, New Testament, 2007-). He is the developer of the Synoptic Problem Website and author of The Gospel Hoax: Morton Smith's Invention of Secret Mark (Waco, Tex.: Baylor University Press, 2005).
